Ben Henwood
Benjamin Henwood, PhD, LCSW is the Albert G. and Frances Lomas Feldman Professor of Social Policy and Health at the University of Southern California (USC). He directs the Center for Homelessness, Housing and Health Equity Research at the USC Suzanne Dworak-Peck School of Social Work and also holds a secondary appointment as a professor in the USC Chan Division of Occupational Science and Occupational Therapy. Professor Henwood’s research has been supported by the National Institutes of Health (i.e., NIMH, NIDA, NIA), the National Science Foundation, the Conrad N. Hilton Foundation, the Patient Centered Research Outcomes Institute and Google.org
Randall Kuhn
Dr. Randall Kuhn (Ph.D., University of Pennsylvania, 1999) is a demographer and sociologist focused on the social determinants of health among vulnerable populations. He is an expert in survey design, longitudinal analysis and counterfactual research design. Dr. Kuhn is a fellow of the California Center for Population Research, where he serves as Chair of the Executive Committee. He also serves on the advisory boards of the UCLA Center for the Study of International Migration and the Institute for Research on Labor and Employment. Kuhn previously chaired the Population Sciences Subcommittee of the Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development.
Jessie Chien
Jessie Chien, MHS, PhD, is the research manager for PATHS. Her research expertise focuses on examining the spatial context of health inequities for racialized and marginalized populations and uses both qualitative and quantitative methods, including geospatial techniques and longitudinal data analysis.
She currently assists with the data collection, management, and analysis for PATHS. She received her Master of Health Science at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and PhD from the UCLA Fielding School of Public Health.
Gisele Corletto
Gisele Corletto, MSW is a Project Administrator and has extensive experience working with diverse populations throughout the Greater Los Angeles area, applying leadership, management, and clinical skills. She has successfully led multiple community initiatives and research projects focused on developing the best practices for underserved populations, including people experiencing homelessness and the military and veteran population in Los Angeles County.
Taylor Mobley
Taylor Mobley is a PhD student in Epidemiology at the UCLA Fielding School of Public Health. He is broadly interested in understanding mechanisms through which structural factors such as housing policies impact health across the lifecourse. His prior work focused on the effect of early and mid-life social exposures on mid- and late-life mental and cognitive health. He received his MPH in Epidemiology at UCLA.
Erik Guadron
Erik Guadron is a Project Assistant with the Center for Homelessness, Housing and Health Equity Research. He has served as a data collector and team lead for the Greater Los Angeles Homeless Count since 2022 and works on other Center studies including Miracle Friends, PCHOOSE and PATHS.
Danielle Paulazzo
Danielle serves as a data analyst for the PATHS project where she assists with data management, cleaning, and summarizing. She is completing her final year of a concurrent masters degree program in Community Health Sciences and Urban and Regional Planning at UCLA.
Norma Guzman Hernandez
Norma serves as a Data Analyst for the PATHS project, where she supports data management and recruitment efforts. She is completing her final year of an MPH in Community Health Sciences at UCLA.
Irene Del Mastro
Irene Del Mastro is a PhD Candidate in Sociology at UCLA. Over the past few years, she has used qualitative methods to study the cultural, interpersonal, and institutional factors that contribute to the lack of and inadequate access to healthcare among underserved communities in Latin America and the US. As a research assistant for PATHS, Irene has been involved in survey design and qualitative data collection analysis.
Evan Michael Shannon
Dr. Evan Michael Shannon is an Assistant Professor-in-Residence at the UCLA David Geffen School of Medicine. He specializes in internal medicine with a focus on healthcare disparities, hospital medicine, and patient transfer systems. Dr. Shannon earned his BA in Human Biology from Stanford University, an MD from UCSF School of Medicine, and an MPH in Epidemiology from UCLA Fielding School of Public Health. He completed his residency and served as Chief Medical Resident at Brigham and Women's Hospital. His research explores racial and ethnic disparities in healthcare, patient experience, and hospital medicine.
